Greeting visitors in the downstairs “Great Room” are two, twenty plus feet Native American racing canoes. The “Hoquat” and “Quinault” have been in the same family for generations and are on loan to us from the James family. This room contains Native American baskets, a “touching and petting” display for young visitors, reading area and video documentary of the museum's Dell Mulkey photos, and a school room, complete with a large bell that hung from a school house belfry.
